Obituary for Brad Alan Davis

Brad Alan Davis, 51, of Pleasant Gap, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Born on June 27, 1971, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Terry Richard and Patricia Ann (Wilkins) Davis, who survive at their home in Pleasant Gap.

Brad was a 1989 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy from July 10, 1989 until he was honorably discharged on July 9, 1997. During his time in the service, which included both active duty and work in the reserves, he received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award. He was employed at Graymont Lime Company where he worked as a Laborer for 20 years. Having worked hard for his family and building many great friendships.

In addition to his loving parents Terry and Patricia, he is survived by his two daughters, Brook Ann and Samantha Jane Davis, and his grandson, John Laurence Davis, all of Bellefonte. Also surviving are his siblings, Susan Gordon of Centre Hall, Thomas Davis of Bellefonte, and Terri Ann Smith of Pleasant Gap, four nephews, four nieces, five great nephews and one great niece. Brad was preceded in death by his loyal black Labrador, Maggie.

Brad was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go hunting. He had a great love of football, especially Penn State & the Steelers, and watching westerns was an extra pleasure that he enjoyed. He cherished and loved his daughters very much along with his grandson, who he found to be exceptionally entertaining and smart. Pap-Pap was his favorite title. Brad found joy in entertaining his family & friends, cooking on the grill, volleyball, corn-hole, or just a good card game.

He was a hardworking, loving, and sarcastically humorous person. Brad will be dearly missed and loved.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Services, Inc. in Bellefonte.
