Obituary for Clifford D. Wilson
Clifford D. Wilson, 82, of State College, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Encompass Health. Born on April 9, 1939, he was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothea (Badman) Wilson. On January 14, 1967, he was married to his beloved wife, Judith A. (Wojeska) Wilson, who preceded him in death on January 3, 2017, after sharing 49 years of marriage together.
Clifford was a 1957 graduate of Wellsboro High School. He worked most recently as a crossing guard for the State College Area School District/Patton Township Police Department on Douglas Drive in Park Forest.
He is survived by his two sons, Timothy Wilson of Maryland, and Michael Wilson of Bellefonte, and two grandchildren, Reese Wilson and Alexis Pierce. Also surviving are his daughter-in-law, Misty Wilson, and two brothers, Dr. James L. Wilson and Gary L. Wilson, both of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his elder brother, LaRue Wilson.
Clifford was a member of American Legion, PA Post 0245, 1950 Pine Hall Road, State College. He was a veteran of the US Army Infantry, honorably discharged on November 30, 1967.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, 867 Grays Woods Blvd., Port Matilda, Pennsylvania 16870 with Father Charles Amershek officiating.
Private interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Corning, New York alongside his wife.
