OBITUARY
DEBORAH “DEBBIE” C. HAMILTON
MAY 28, 1952 – JULY 14, 2023
Deborah “Debbie” C. Hamilton, 71, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, July 14, 2023. She was born on May 28, 1952, in Bellefonte, to Jacqueline (Fahr) Douty, who survives in Bellefonte. On November 11, 1972, she married the love of her life, Keith Hamilton, who survives at home, after sharing 50 years of marriage.
Debbie was a 1970 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School and attended Penn State University. She was a partner of Dotts Hamilton as an Income Tax Professional for over 35 years until her retirement, and as an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service since 1993. She was on the board for the Bellefonte Historical Society, and prior, Executive Director of Bellefonte Arts and Crafts.
Debbie was happiest in the company of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, going to the Outer Banks with her family, taking walks on the beach, and shopping. She was an avid Penn State Football fan. Debbie was a lover of animals, especially her Golden Retrievers who would often accompany her to work.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Keith J. Hamilton, and his wife Shelby of Hublersburg, and Craig R. Hamilton and his wife Lindsay of Bellefonte. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Keith F., Sydney, Levi and Lyla Hamilton, and one sister, Cathy Brachbill and her husband Randy of Bellefonte.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 4-6pm, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street Bellefonte. Funeral Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
