Obituary for Edward "Ed" A. Miller Jr.

Edward “Ed” A. Miller, Jr., 76, of Bellefonte, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Centre Care. Born on February 5, 1947, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Edward A. “Buck” Miller, Sr. and Mary L. (Cole) Miller.

Ed was a 1965 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He went on to graduate from Penn State University with his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Over the span of his 50+ year career, he worked as a manufacturing manager, purchasing manager, and building consultant for numerous home building and manufacturing companies. His career took him across the United States and Canada until his retirement.

He is survived by his three daughters, Barbara A. Simmons (William) of Honey Brook, PA, Heather L. Johnson (Mark) and Jaime B. Jolley (Tyler), all of Bellefonte, and three grandchildren, Reid W. Simmons, Natalie T. Jolley, and Eli J. Jolley. Also surviving is his sister, Robin Cabral (Rick) of Bellefonte, and brother, Robert J. Miller of Howard.

Ed took the time to enjoy the little things in life. He enjoyed sitting out on his porch and visiting with friends and family. Although he would often find himself in different locations for work, he was always a proud resident of Bellefonte. Ed was also an avid fan of Penn State Athletics. He loved to watch his grandchildren perform in concerts and various sporting events, being their biggest cheerleader in the crowd! A loving father, and adoring grandfather, Ed leaves his loved ones with countless memories that they will forever keep close to their hearts.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 4-6 P.M., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 6 P.M. at the funeral home, with Pastor Will Osman officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
