On August 27, 1966, she married her beloved husband, Robert E. Tate, who predeceased her on September 24, 2016, after sharing over 50 years of marriage together.

Ellen was a 1965 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She dedicated her life to taking care of her home and raising her family – jobs that she took great pride in doing.

She is survived by her son, Robert E. Tate, Jr. (Christine), four grandchildren: Derek Stoliker, Amber Baer, Danielle Packer, and Bryan “Tater” Tate, and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Susan E. Packer, and a sister, Janet Wagner.

For the past eight years, she lived with her son and daughter-in-law, allowing them to care for her during her times of need. They were also able to use that time to create memories that will be cherished for years to come.
