Faye Lucille (Jones) Kelleher, 93, of Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Encompass Health in Pleasant Gap. Born on February 18, 1927 in Milesburg, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Rella (Biddle) Jones. On September 26, 1953, she married her beloved husband, Robert Patrick Kelleher, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2004, after sharing over 51 years of marriage together.
Faye was a graduate of Bellefonte High School. She worked as a Switchboard Operator for Warner Company for over 60 years until her retirement.
She is survived by two nieces, Rose Ann Edmiston Alters (Gene), and Darlene Faye Edmiston Smith (Stanley), two great nieces, Michele Marie Wallace Deter (Thomas), and Stacey Lynn Wallace Davis (Thomas), two great nephews, Michael Richard Wallace (Beth), and William Joseph Smith (Carla), four great-great nephews, Shane Thomas Davis, Zackery Campbell Davis, Kyle Thomas Deter, Nicholas William Deter, and one great-great niece, Grace Jane Myersmith, and one great-great-great niece, AnnMarie Rose Davis.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Jones and Lester “Pete” Jones, and one sister, Anna Marie Jones Edmiston.
Faye was a devoted Catholic and volunteer with the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family and her cat Tommy.
There will be a public viewing held on Monday, February 1, 2021, from 9am-10:45am, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral Mass will follow the viewing at 11am, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, with Father George Jakopac officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Centre County Memorial Park in State College. Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged, and face coverings will be required at all services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Faye’s memory to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 134 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
