Frank Calvin Harpster, Sr., 66, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Friday, September 8, 2023. Born on May 24, 1957, in Altoona, he was the son of the late Frank “Red” C. and Shirley (Barr) Harpster. On June 20, 1992, in Talleyrand Park, he married the love of his life, Kimberly Jo (Robison) Harpster, who survives at home after sharing 31 years of marriage together.
Frank worked as a press operator for Corning for 20 years until the closure of the company. He then took a maintenance position at the Nittany Mall until he was injured.
In addition to his wife, Kimberly Jo, he is survived by children, Frank Calvin Harpster, Jr. (Vickie Lynn) of Snow Shoe, Erin Star Diven (Todd) of Stormstown, and Tiffany Ann Bettis of Milesburg, six grandchildren: Dakota Harpster, Warren Yakich, Kohen Hockenberry, Madison Grimes, Evelyn Diven, and Ryden Diven, and one great grandchild, Adley Harpster. Also surviving are three sisters, Sherry Walter, Pamela Harpster, both of Altoona, and Brenda Line of Chambersburg, and a brother, Greg Harpster of Maryland.
Frank was a member of the Nittany Baptist Church in Boalsburg. He enjoyed being outside and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved getting his metal detector out and exploring different areas to see what all he could find. Over the years, he has created quite a collection of unique finds!
Per Frank’s requests, there will be no funeral services held. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
