Obituary for Gloria Yvonne Corage
Gloria Yvonne Corage, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Centre Care in Bellefonte. Born on November 29, 1931, in Howard, she was the daughter of the late Toner and Geraldine (Aikey) Heverly.
Gloria was a 1948 graduate of Howard High School. She worked at the Autoport for 25 years until taking a position at Foxdale in the housekeeping and dietary departments, where she continued to work for the last 15 years.
She is survived by her five children: Pamela Shreffler, James Shreffler, Jalea Cantu, all of Bellefonte, Tony Shreffler (April) of Pleasant Gap, and Bryan Shreffler, also of Bellefonte, and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Jane Phillips of Marsh Creek, Penny Rosefsky of Zion, Phyllis Heeman and Tom Heverly, both of Milesburg.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Lee Shreffler, three brothers, Paul, Jerry, Jake and Dick Heverly, and a sister, Mary Shuey.
Gloria enjoyed doing word search puzzles and adding to her extensive collection of lighthouses. She loved to cook and looked forward to putting the meals together for family gatherings.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
