Obituary for Ilene Yvonne Shultz
Ilene Yvonne Shultz, 88, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on May 10, 1934, in Stormstown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Nellie (Harshbarger) Tomco. On May 21, 1960, at the Fillmore United Methodist Church, she married her beloved husband, Martin Luther Shultz, who survives her at home after sharing over 62 years of marriage together.
Ilene was a 1952 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She worked in sales at G.C. Murphy for over 20 years.
In addition to her husband, Martin, she is survived by a brother, Paul Tomco (Cleo), and a sister, Kay Little (Bun), and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters, Marjorie Tokar, JoAnn Confer, Norma Rackish, Miriam Benner, and infant sister, Imogene, and two brothers, Donald E. “Hum” Tomco, and Glenn Tomco, who was Ilene’s twin brother.
Ilene was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 10-11:00 A.M., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M., at the funeral home, with Pastor James Jacobs officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
