Obituary for Ivan K. Vovchenko
Ivan K. Vovchenko, 84, faithful husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021, at home surrounded by his family and loved ones. In 1955, Ivan married Valentina Nedodaeva, who preceded him in death on August 21, 2017. He dedicated his life to raising his large family.
Ivan spent many hard years working as an electrician.
He is survived by his two daughters and four sons: Luba, Lena, Vladimir, Ivan, Ilya, and Alex. Also surviving are his 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Graveside services will follow at noon at Pleasant Gap Lutheran Cemetery. Following CDC recommendations, social distancing is encouraged, and face coverings will be required at all services.
