Obituary for James Edgar Bathurst
James Edgar Bathurst, 76, of Mingoville, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Centre Care in Bellefonte. Born on January 26, 1946, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Harry and Ann (Hazel) Bathurst.
James attended Bellefonte High School. He worked as a tree trimmer for Asplundh for 45 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his former wife, Sharon, his two children, Jamie Bathurst (Karin) of Coleville, and Dorian Danko (Trevor) of Houtzdale, six grandchildren: James, Brandon, Logan, Caden, Luke, and Malayna, and five great grandchildren: Gemma, Rylin, Brayson, Kyzer, and Jonah. Also surviving is a sister, Carol Snook (Charlie), and a brother, Steve Bathurst (Brenda), both of Yarnell.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Ava Bathurst, and five siblings: Mary Lou, Harry, Sandy, Judy, and Shirley.
James was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and going four-wheeling. He especially loved going out to Rails to Trails. He also looked forward to playing poker with his family and friends and traveling between family member’s houses to visit on the weekends.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
