Obituary for Jeffrey M. Korman
Jeffrey M. Korman, 68, of Bellefonte, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Born on March 31, 1955, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Kermit and Barbara (Cover) Korman.
Jeff was a 1973 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He went on to attend Grove City College, where he was a freshman starter for the football team. He worked for Sutton Engineering as an erection supervisor, a job title he often would laugh about, even having business cards made with his title specifically printed on them. During his 28 years of employment with Sutton, he was afforded the opportunity to travel the world setting up numerous large manufacturing equipment. After leaving Sutton, he took a position at Penn State, working as a landscaper for 15 years until his retirement in 2022.
He is survived by his son, Josh Korman (Nicole) of Bellefonte, and his siblings, Jack Korman of Pine Glenn, and Joyce Wilkes (Greg) of Lehigh Acres, Florida.
Jeff was of the methodist faith. He was a member of the F&AM Lodge #268 in Bellefonte. He was an avid fan of Penn State football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jeff also enjoyed going hunting, whether it was archery or rifle season. After retirement, he looked forward to being able to spend more time going hunting. More than anything, he loved being able to spend time with his family.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 10-11:00 AM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will directly follow, beginning at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home, with Pastor Doug Conway officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeff to ODAAT, 225 Meadow Woods Drive, Lewistown, PA 17044.
