Obituary for Jeffrey L. Bartley

Jeffrey L. Bartley, 57, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born on December 15, 1964, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Earl C. and Arabella C. (Moyer) Bartley. On June 8, 2006, he married the love of his life, Pamela K. (Barner) Bartley, who survives him at home after sharing over 16 years of marriage.

Jeff was a 1982 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He was currently employed with Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, where he had been for the past six years. Previous to that, he had worked for Cleveland Brothers in State College.

In addition to his wife, Pam, he is survived by his two children, Jon Bartley (Marissa) and Josh Bartley (Carly). Also surviving are his six sisters: Diana DeVinney (Dallas), Linda Bathgate (Jim), Wendy Alters, Kathy Shaffer (Bill), Deb Detwiler (Doug), and Karen Weight (Tim), and four grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Lester Bartley, and a brother-in-law, Loren Alters.

Jeff was a life member of the Undine Fire Co. and Walker Township Fire Co. He was also a member of the Clarence American Legion Post #813, the Clarence Moose Lodge #1565, and the Clarence Young Democratic Club. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and watching NASCAR and football. Pam was the love of his life, and he looked forward to the special trips that they would make to Daytona and Salamanca. They were also able to make treasured memories hanging out with friends at their camps. He loved the time that he was able to get together with his family. He leaves his loved ones with countless memories that they will cherish forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at The Shop in Zion, 129 Snyder Brook Lane, Bellefonte. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeff’s memory to the Undine Fire Company #2, 133 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
