Obituary for Jesse "Jess" Daniel Taylor
Jesse Daniel Taylor, 70, of Colyer, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, May 12, 2023, at BRMC in Bristol, Tennessee. Born on March 10, 1953, in Colyer, he was the son of the late Warren Bruce and Violet Marie (Pighetti) Taylor.
Jess was a self-employed window cleaner, serving businesses and private homes in the New York City, Wilkes-Barre, and State College areas. Additionally, for many years he sold Christmas Trees off Lyonstown Road in Bellefonte. He would often donate trees to organizations in need around the community.
He is survived by his former wife of 36 years, June Taylor, and his four sons, Jason, Christopher (Sylvia), Brandon (Ashley), and Michael, and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Albert Charles, and Clarence Alfred (Patty), and three sisters, Connie Caprio, and Juanita Breon (Herb), and Annette Vitale-Marshall (Jeffrey), and 21 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Bruce, Jr., and William “Bill” Franklin, and two sisters, Linda Mae, and Mona Kay.
Jess was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Family and friends would often call him to help get their deer during hunting season. He also loved to work on cars with his sons.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 201 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
