Obituary for Joanne M. Garman
Joanne M. Garman, 92, of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born October 16, 1930, in Bellefonte, Joanne was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Holderman) and Dewey Justice.
Joanne is survived by three children: Warren D. Garman (Sheila) of Dallas, GA; Georgia G. Kreamer (David) of Centre Hall, PA; and Cynthia S. Garman of Bellefonte, PA. Also surviving is her dear sister, Judy Dolan of Bellefonte and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved and considered to be her second children. In addition, Joanne is survived by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, all of whom made her so proud.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Forrest Justice, Hazel Hoover, and Verna Bertram.
Joanne was of the Christian faith and was devoted to the Lord and his teachings. She deeply loved her family and friends and enjoyed visiting and talking with all of them. Her hobbies included crocheting beautiful afghans, reading Amish novels, and watching her favorite team, the Philadelphia Phillies.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joanne’s memory to a church of your choice or to Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823, with “Joanne Garman - Disabled American Veteran donation” indicated on the memo line, to be distributed to a local disabled veteran charity.
