On Friday, February 18, 2022, John Edward Knox, a loving husband, and longtime resident of State College, passed away at the age of 60.
John was born January 3, 1962, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His parents were Edward and Katheryn Knox. John has a sister named Darla Fullmer. John attended Penn State and his fields of study included Astronomy and Psychology.
John has been married to Kristina Fisher Knox for 17 years. John is also an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. John and Kristina lived a quiet life in State College. Kristina would tell you John was dignified, intelligent, kind, and spiritual. She would also mention John prayed the rosary and loved the Lord.
John had a number of health issues, but of note, John was a 16-year survivor from a bone marrow transplant. At the time of John‘s passing, he had the distinction of being the longest surviving bone marrow transplant recipient of Dr. David Claxton, of the Penn State Medical Group.
A gathering and Mass will be held at our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. The receiving of guests will begin at 9:30 AM, and the Mass will commence at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Boalsburg Cemetery in Boalsburg, PA.
