Obituary for John "Lousey" M. Lucas

John M. “Lousey” Lucas, 79, of Clarence, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, in Altoona. Born on August 28, 1942, in Moshannon, he was the son of the late Harry and Carrie (Meeker) Lucas. In 1986, he married his beloved wife, Arlene (Rule), who survives at home.

John worked at Cerro Copper and Brass for over 32 years. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on April 30, 1970.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Jody Lucas, John Lucas, Jr., Missy Lucas and two stepchildren, Sherrie Jackson and Raymond Brungart. Also surviving are his siblings, George, Mary, Margaret, Donna, and Harry, and three grandchildren.

John was very active and involved in various organizations in his community, he was a member of the Snow Shoe VFW #5644, Snow Shoe Firehall, Clarence American Legion Post #838, Clarence Democratic Club, Clarence Zoning Board, and the Askey Cemetery Board.

All services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., of Bellefonte.
