Obituary for Josh Artem Way

Josh Artem Way, 21, of Pleasant Gap, passed away at home on Sunday, August 2, 2020. He was born on May 8, 1999, in Nosivka, Ukraine. His parents, Wayne and Tammy (Carra) Way are both surviving at home in Pleasant Gap.

Josh was a 2018 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He also graduated from CPI’s automotive technician program. He was employed at Greene Landscaping as a Landscape Technician.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Camron Carra of Florida and Kolya Way of Pleasant Gap, one sister, Haley Way of Pleasant Gap, maternal grandmother, Margaret Carra of Bellefonte, paternal grandparents, Al and Sharon Way of Urbana, Illinois and his beloved canine companion, Ace. Also surviving are aunts and uncles Rick and Kathy Carra of Bellefonte and Lori and Doug Frerichs of Royal, Illinois and cousins, Carly, Adam, and Josey.

Josh loved his family and friends. He enjoyed driving his car and being around people. He loved to care for those close to him. Josh had a beautiful heart and thrived on conversation. He liked to see people happy and always tried to make them laugh. He lived his life with strength, loyalty, and anticipation of the future. Josh knew who he was and never tried to be someone he was not. Those who were blessed to know him could not help but like him. Josh left this world far too early, but we have no doubt he is with our Jesus, laughing and in deep conversation. We have no doubt we will see Josh again.

There will be a public viewing held on Saturday, August 8, 2020, from 1-2 pm, at Christ Community Church at 200 Ellis Place, State College. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Jim Bucci officiating. A celebration of his life with food and time of sharing will be at the church following the funeral and all are encouraged to attend. Josh will be buried at the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pleasant Gap near the old ash tree, less than one mile from his parents’ home.
