Obituary for Kenneth Harold Roth

Kenneth Harold Roth, 76, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, at The Oaks at Pleasant Gap. Born in Pittsburgh on December 26, 1943, he was the son of the late Herbert J. and Elizabeth E. (Haney) Roth. On September 26, 1964, he married his beloved wife, Linda (McDowell) Roth, who survives him at The Oaks after sharing over 56 years of marriage together.

Kenneth earned his Associates Degree in Electronics. He worked as a Purchasing Manager at the Applied Research Laboratory for Penn State until his retirement in 2004.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by their three children, Sandra L. Adamy of Omaha, Nebraska, Kenneth M. Roth (Leslie) of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and Jennifer L. Eckert of Colchester, Vermont; and four grandchildren, Nicholas and Rachael Adamy, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Barrett and June Eckert, of Colchester, Vermont. Also surviving are two sisters, Arlene Seebacher (Donald), and Joyce Cole, both of Pittsburgh, and one brother, David Roth (Joan) of Philadelphia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Robert Cole.

Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bellefonte. He loved his Lord, Jesus Christ, and believed: For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but will have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved. John 3:16,17 He was an avid Penn State Football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Kenneth loved to go hunting and enjoyed helping others whenever he could; he helped set up fireworks for 4th Fest for many years and loved being on the grass cutting crew at his church.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
