Obituary for Linda K. Nyman

Linda K. Nyman, 67, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born on August 8, 1955, in Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Ronald Calvin Cornelison and Mildred Louise (Lowrie) Cornelison-Meder. On September 17, 1977, she married her beloved husband, Donald L. Nyman, in Pennsylvania, who survives at home after sharing over 45 years of marriage together.

Linda was a 1973 graduate of State College High School and went on to attend classes at Penn State. She worked for McDonald’s for 20 years until she retired as a manager.

In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by two children, Joshua Linn Nyman (Christina) of Howard, and Jaytricia Karen Tremel of Cassandra, PA, and five grandchildren: Kaylah and Donovan Nyman, and Maddison, Isabella, and Ashlyn Bower. Also surviving is a sister, Jeanette Jaytricia Donahue (Timothy), of Pinehurst, NC, uncle, Raymond Lowrie (Mariann) of Phoenix, AZ, and brothers-in-law, David Nyman (Valerie), and Duane Nyman (Josephine), all of Bellefonte.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Patrick Tremel, stepfather, David Meder, aunt Carlene Lowrie, and uncle Ernest Lowrie.

Linda attended services at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in State College. Linda’s hobbies were vast and many, including poetry, painting, astrology, history, genealogy, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed traveling to the ocean over the years. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family. Her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy in life. She was immensely proud of each of their accomplishments and the remarkable young men and women that they have grown into. Her loved ones will remember her as the “talker” in the room, always having a kind word to share with someone. She leaves behind countless memories that her family and friends will forever hold in their hearts.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
