Obituary for Mark T. Antolosky

Mark T. Antolosky, of Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at his home. He was born on December 29, 1957, in Bellefonte, the son of the late Paul and Anne (Sekela) Antolosky.

Mark graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1975 and received his BS from Penn State. Throughout his career, he worked in advertising for several media outlets. However, his greatest joy was sharing his love of flyfishing with his many clients and friends. His knowledge, patience, skill, and kindness made him the perfect instructor. Many of his students returned year after year even after they were proficient themselves. One of his notable students was President Jimmy Carter. Mark’s favorite streams were Spring Creek and Spruce Creek. He also fished most of the other rivers and streams close by and traveled to New Zealand, Mexico, Montana, and the Bahamas to find fishing adventures there.

Mark is survived by his cousins, Michael and John Sekela, and his sister-in-law, Pat Antolosky.

Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother, Paul.

Mark will be missed by his many flyfishing buddies not to mention the many friends he made while conducting his media advertising rounds.

Burial will be conducted at the convenience of the family. There will be a celebration of Mark’s life later this summer. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
