Sandra I. Englert, 64, of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on January 25, 1957, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Donald D. and Bernice I. (Gentzel) Young. On May 18, 1974, in the Bellefonte Church of God, she married her beloved husband, William “Bill” E. Englert, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2018, after sharing more than 44 years of marriage together.

Sandra was a graduate of Penns Valley High School. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family, a job that she was proud to do.

She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Englert (Craig Moore) of Bellefonte, two grandchildren, Brittany D. Wright (Patric), and Gabby C. Moore, all of Bellefonte, and three great-grandchildren, Kylie L. Meeker of Bellefonte, Kasen Packer of Bellefonte, and Brooklyn Wright of Penns Valley. Also surviving are four sisters, Carol Clark-Baney (Jeff) of Centre Hall, Ellen “Jeannie” Shuey of Pleasant Gap, Darlene Shaffer (Tim) of Milroy, and Mary K. Crust (Scott) of Bellefonte.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Carry Englert, a sister, Linda Weller, and a brother, Donald “Mick” Young.

Sandra enjoyed going to play Bingo. She especially loved cooking and baking, but more than anything, she treasured the time that she spent with her family and friends.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
