Obituary for Sara Marie Smith
Sara Marie Smith, 56, of Julian, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on October 6, 1966, in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late Beverly (Getz) Foley and Herbie Joe Snyder. She was married to the love of her life, Daniel G. Smith, who survives her at home after sharing 35 years of marriage together.
Sara was a 1984 graduate of Bucktail Area High School in Renovo. She went on to graduate from DuBois School of Business.
In addition to her husband, Daniel, she is survived by her four children, Jon Long of Lock Haven, Jared Smith of Greenfield, Wisconsin, Sara Jelle (Quentin) of Julian, and Joshua Smith (Amber) of Oak Harbor, Washington, and seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Jonathan, Raylee (Christie Verne) Bentley, Penny, Jack, and Daniel.
Sara was a proud member of the 40/8 and enjoyed going to Sunday Service with her husband and closest friends. Above all else, she loved her family and treasured the time that she was able to spend with them. A devoted wife, caring mother, adoring grandmother, and a loyal friend, she leaves behind countless memories that will carry on with her loved ones for years to come.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
