Obituary for Sara Virginia Wilson

Sara Virginia Wilson, 79, of Centre Hall, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born on November 24, 1942, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Elizabeth (Johnson) Weaders. On November 20, 1959, she married her beloved husband, Fred K. Wilson, Sr., who preceded her in death on June 29, 2018, after sharing 62 years of marriage together.

Sara attended school in Penns Valley. She worked as a caretaker for various assisted living facilities in the area for several years until her retirement.

She is survived by her nine children, Dave Wilson (June) of Bellefonte, Fred Wilson, Jr. (Yvette) of Valley Stream, New York, George Wilson of Pleasant Gap, Faith Schindler of Pleasant Gap, Joseph Wilson of Bellefonte, Diane Wilson of Pine Glenn, Steve Wilson of Centre Hall, John Wilson (Jennifer) of Howard, and Cora Hazel (Charles) of Wolverine Lake, Michigan; 11 grandchildren: Stephanie, Darlene, Brandon, James, Kenneth, Daniel, Patricia, Caitlyn, Wyatt, Jordan, and Justin, nine great grandchildren: Kyle, T.J., Madison, Jacob, Morgan, Hailey, Olivia, Evelyn, and Isiah; and two great-great grandchildren, Cole and Cooper. Also surviving is a brother, Charles Weaders, and a sister, Dorothy Weaders, both of Centre Hall.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Weaders, and Esther Diamond, and a grandson, Joshua.

Sara enjoyed putting puzzles together and doing word search puzzles. She was an avid animal lover and would do anything for anyone. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
