Obituary for Tanisha Kay Ranio

Tanisha Kay Ranio, 29, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Born on August 18, 1993, in State College, she was the daughter of Edward Shane and Kristine Kay (Glunt) Ranio, who are both surviving at their home.

Tanisha was a 2012 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School.

In addition to her parents, Edward and Kristine, she is survived by her brother, Shane Ranio, and his wife, Redina, of Tampa, Florida, and her devoted canine companion, Faith. Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Wayne and Brenda Anderson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Vickie Sellers, and paternal and maternal grandfathers, Michael Ranio and Howard Glunt, respectfully.

Tanisha’s hobbies were vast and many, including going to dirt track races, playing board games with family, and riding 4-wheelers. Recently, she starting doing diamond art, and would spend hours dotting and listening to music with her mom, Aunt Shannon, and cousin, Olivia. She also loved to go for walks and spoiling her dog, Faith. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. She leaves behind countless memories that they will forever cherish and hold close in their hearts.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow, beginning at 12 P.M., with Pastor Drew Fenstermacher officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
