Obituary for Thomas "T.J." J. Haines
Thomas “T.J.” J. Haines, 44, of Boalsburg, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on September 12, 1978, in State College, he was the son of Thomas Roger and Juanita Jean (Nilson) Haines, who both survive at home. In 2019, he married the love of his life, Karin (Graham) Haines, who also survives him at home.
T.J. was a 1997 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Penn State, where he majored in Recreation and Parks Management. He had been currently employed by the United States Postal Service in Spring Mills, where he worked as a rural postal carrier for the last five years.
In addition to his wife, Karin, and parents, Thomas and Juanita, he is survived by his three children, Tanner Graham, Bennett Haines, and Finnley Haines, all of Boalsburg. Also surviving is a sister, Jennifer Haines of Coudersport.
In T.J.’s younger years, he and some of his friends were in a Garage Band. In his free time, he enjoyed going to yard sales and selling items on eBay. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of T.J. to the American Cancer Society by going to www.cancer.org and the family would like to encourage everyone to get a colonoscopy.
