Obituary for Thomas "Tom" L. Bryan

Thomas “Tom” L. Bryan, 78, of Unionville, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on April 21, 1943, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Lee and Miriam (Palmer) Bryan. He has shared the past 22 years with his soulmate, Donna Jordan, who survives in Unionville.

Tom was a 1961 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He worked for Murata Electronics for over 35 years until his retirement.

In addition to his companion, Donna, he is survived by his six children, Tammy Moore (Jeff) of Centre Hall, Terry Bryan (Gary Hall) of Mustang, Oklahoma, Tracy Bryan of Pratt, Kansas, Thomas Feathers of State College, Danielle Bryan, and Casey Bryan (Jeremy Hillard), all of Unionville, 12 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, William Bryan (Gloria) of Milesburg, John Bryan (Donna) of Millheim, and Rodney Bryan (Karen) of State College, and two sisters, Bonnie Wolfe, and Patricia DeBrasky (Joe), both of Bellefonte.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Marvin “Bud” Bryan, and a granddaughter, Mabel Ball.

Tom loved being outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting, or just spending time outside with his family. He was a “man’s man” and enjoyed woodworking. His loved ones will always remember his love of a good prank, as Tom got a kick out of “spoofing” someone when the opportunity presented itself.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to the Lance and Ellen Shaner Cancer Pavilion by mailing checks to 1800 East Park Avenue, State College, PA 16803, and indicating donations are going to the Cancer Center on the memo line.
