Alice Marie Grove, 75, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born on April 7, 1942, in Centre County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph J. and Velda (Burris) Grove.
She was a 1960 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. Alice retired as a billing clerk from Mount Nittany Medical Center, she also worked as a secretary for Fresenius Medical Care. She was a member of Buffalo Run United Methodist Church.
Alice is survived by two sisters, Hazel Peters of Bellefonte, Alma Rider of Bellefonte, one brother, Howard Grove (Shirley) of Bellefonte, and brother in law, Earl Hoy of Pleasant Gap.
Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Ammerman, and Ethel Hoy, two brothers; Harold and Melvin. There will be a public viewing held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Buffalo Run United Methodist Church, 1667 Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte, funeral services will immediately follow at 2pm, with Lay Speaker Dora Lose officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to Centre Crest at 502 E. Howard Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
